Default Collegiate Saltwater Fishing Teams/Clubs

I am an upcoming Senior in high school and starting my college search. My decision is based primarily on the quality of fishing in the area. Bill fishing is my passion so that would be a plus. I’m hoping to mate in school(I have lots of experience 1st mating for charter boats) and join a club or team at the college. Does anyone know of any colleges with saltwater fishing teams/clubs?

Check out Coastal Carolina University and Captain Joe Winslow. I’m not sure about bill fish but I know they usually have a decent king mackerel team.

Coastal Carolina has a salt water fishing club/team. It’s a great school and campus as well. My daughter will be a junior this year, and has enjoyed the school. Professor Joe Winslow heads the club/team and is a great guy. He fishes in the local tournaments, usually with members of the CCU Team.

URI is right on narraganset bay (I know they have docks but don't know if students can keep a boat there), has a marine sciences program, and even has it's own commercial boat. You are practically in point judith, and that is still a commercial fishing port. Lots of charter and party boats hail from there.

You could do worse.
