Default Small chip in line guide coating - fixes?

Noticed this small chip on a line guide. It does not appear to be impacting the ceramic guide itself but is a small chip in the clear coating. It does look like it could eventually nick the line going through. Any suggestions for fixing? Since it’s not the ceramic itself I was hoping maybe sand it down and recoat to make it smooth again. Thoughts?

Only real way to fix that is wrap a new guide.

Pretty easy to do.

Looks to be in tough shape. What does the rest of the rod look like?

Well actually if you can find the exact same guide you can heat (unglue) the eye and replace just the eye.

Replace the guide. Only really acceptable solution.
its a very simple fix. Why take a chance of screwing up a mess of line and losing an expensive lure or a big fish?

if you’re around Boston I could do it for you , free, if you get the guide.

Replace the guide. It's pretty easy to do yourself.
