You will he glad with your purchase. My minn Kota ultera has ad the bells and whistles. Problem was they broke way to often and down time was horrible. Rhodan customer service will blow you away. They are a small family run company. I have been in the shop and you could eat off the floor. If something does happen you wonít be out more then a week. But mine hasnít had a issue. When I took my last minn Kota in for warrantee work thier where 12 of them ahead of me. And it took almost 8 weeks. I miss the auto deploy. But I think the new minn Kota will have a lot of problems also the Rohan is way more powerful

Is Rhodan ever going to look towards an auto deploy? I fish on a boat with the Rhodan and its great, but it is a PITA to deploy & retreive. Seems like if they could perfect that like it seems they have done with tje bigger more powerful TMís, they would have it all. Wonder if their R&D is working on it?

I'm on my 5th season with my MK, not a single issue. I use it every time I fish. My buddy has a Rhodan and likes it alss with no issues after 2 seasons.

you will be happy...keep the box packing just in case...

regards to ď self deploying ď just another thing to break...if you can reel in a tarpon you can deploy retrieve a trolling motor..

Just installed a terrova 36v on my Action Craft. Spot lock is DEAD on accurate. Won't move more than 5' ever, holds me in 20 mph winds and tide. Hint, buy form West Marine with their warranty, it breaks you take it in and walk out with a new TM than dealing with warranties of MK or Rhodan.

I just purchased a Rhodan 80lb 72" for my 22 ft CC. Chose Rhodan due to MK history of spotlock issues and Rhodan outstanding customer service.

Default Charge from alternator

Does anyone have there setup charged from the alternator. My boat dealer says they wire to alternator on the 36v Rhodan they are putting in for me and itís the first Iíd heard of it. Sign me up if I never have to plug in when I get back to the dock!

I dont know how they're planning on doing it, but rhodan recommended a stealth 1 charger when I asked how to do just that.

Stealth 1 Charging ChargTech Industries

Both companies make very nice trolling motors and this is kinda a Ford vs Chevy debate.

Do you want/need auto deploy? If yes MK is the only show in town.

Where do you live? If not close to Rhodan’s shop in Florida ( Sarasota I believe) then warranty work can be a challenge as I’ve heard they don’t have service centers around and you’d have to ship back to Florida.

I went with the MK Ulterra only for the auto deploy. If I didn’t need auto deploy I would have gone with Rhodan.

If close to their shop and auto deploy or linking up to HB electronics is not needed then Rhodan is the way I’d go.

I am going to wire mine up this way but I am using the 36 volt lithium battery. Input from a couple of other guys who have this setup is that they have never had to plug in a charger, battery stays fully charged, specially on offshore boats where you never shut down the motors.

TTT. I am about to order a new trolling motor and trying to figure out what to buy. I am finally upgrading from the tiller style on the bow so open to either really. Is there a better place than another out there to buy either?

any idea whee I can get a wiring diagram for this setup? I currently have twin Verados with 3 batteries, how do you add an additional 3 batteries so all 6 get charged by the two alternators.
