Default getting boat shinny again

So I have purchased the entire Shurhold system. My 28 Carolina Classic needs a little TLC. Due to an engine problem, the boat has been up the hill for over 6 months cooking in the sun. I have a lot of non-skid that needs attention. I have a couple questions. Before hitting it with buff magic I need to wash it.

How dry does the deck need to be before using buff magic??

here is the plan, please correct if necessary.
1. wash
2. use buff magic with dual action rotary with soft brush on non-skid, the wipe off with microfiber cloth
3. use pro polish with same soft brush and rotary ( after cleaning it),
4. wipe down with bride bonnet final polish pad.

Am I missing something?? or just this easy

When you wash, use a stronger cleaner like our SMC as opposed to a traditional boat soap. I would make sure the deck is nice and dry before starting work with the compound, however, a few drops won't stop you from working. I would recommend a medium or even stiff brush be used with the Buff Magic Compound on the non-skid. The soft doesn't have the strength to work the material properly. I would rewash the deck after the compounding step, as it tends to hold extra compound even after removing the excess with a towel. After it's dry again, you can use a medium or soft brush with the Pro Polish. Other than that your right on track!
