Default foam or wool

hopefully it will be getting warmer fairly soon and that means time to polish/wax the truck and boat. What pads do you guys use? This is my first boat but ive always used the foam pads on my vehicles. Are there any benefits or negatives for either?

Which machine do you plan on using? Generally speaking, I like working with wool when using Rotaries and foam when using the Dual Action Polishers.

Then I would use the Buff Magic Foam Compounding Pad for any correctional work and the Pro Polish Pad for anything waxing related. Good luck!
