Default Cleaning Electronics

Modern boats usually have a variety of screens and monitors on the helm. GPS, radar, digital tachometers, or other electronic tools are becoming the norm. These are expensive pieces of equipment that need to be well maintained. But how do you properly take care of them?

The basics are keeping them relatively dry and keeping them covered when not in use to protect them from UV rays. Over time however, these screens will get smudges on them from greasy fingers, fish guts, salt, and other nasty stuff on what basically amounts to a T.V. So what is the best way to remove this gunk?

Avoid harsh cleaners. They can do a lot of damage to the sensitive screens. We make a product called Serious Shine that does a great job of cleaning your electronics and other solid surfaces that need a quick detail. It's easy to use, just spray it on and wipe it off. No more staring through fingerprints to see that bait ball on the fish finder!
