I have always used buff magic as my compound for working on gelvoated boats.
Will it work on boat painted with alexseal.
if so what pad do you recommend I typically use a white wool pad on gelcoat , but may yellow wool polish pad would be more appropriate for alexseal painted surface?
Thanks

Yes, Buff Magic will work for an Alexseal paint job. You should match the wool pad to the level of oxidation you are trying to remove. A fine pad (yellow or "polishing") for light oxidation, and a compounding pad (standard white wool) for a cloudy finish. If using a rotary polisher, I would work at 1200 RPM. If using a Dual Action Polisher, I would run roughly 2/3 of the maximum OPM for the machine. On our Dual Action Polisher, that would be a speed of 4. I hope this helps and have a great day!
