Default another non-skid staining question

My non-skid is oxidized and I tried waxing it. However after fishing the dirt was still really hard to clean up and the deck was stained again.

In in order for wax to work do I need to remove the oxidation from the gel-coat first?

The oxidation does does not bother me from an aesthetics standpoint because you can’t really see it since it is non skid however the constant staining is driving me nuts.

How is do I keep the non-skid from staining?

Clean the non-skid with a stiff deck brush and our SMC to pre-clean the deck. That should help remove most of the staining and topical oxidation. Then Buff the non-skid with a wool pad and a rotary polisher, or our Dual Action Polisher and a Stiff DAP scrub brush. Wipe clean, then apply the Pro Polish Wax. You'll be good to go!

Quick follow up. Pro polish as a maintenance step every few months or wait til the staining returns and start whole process over?

Just like your smooth gelcoat, you should wax the non-skid every few months. It will help prevent stains from requiring heavy cleaners to remove. Also, rinse the deck early and often!
