Default Transducer(s) and Electronics for new 24 Sheaffer Build

I am currently having the above noted boat being built with a finish date of mid August. I am currently trying to finalize my decision on the transducers. I am most likely going to be putting in an Axiom Pro RVX 16" or a Simrad EVO 3 16".

My fishing is mostly in 2-200' of water with some being pure inshore and other being bottom fishing on reefs/recks/etc. I would like to be able to pick up bottom at a nominal speed to help locate fishing spots.

I'd also like some input on which of the two possibilities for the fish finder you'd recommend. I will most likely be buying the transducers now and buying the units closer to completion of the boat.

Thanks!

A B175H...good bottom detail at trolling or ever higher speed.

Thank you! What transducer do I need for side vu, structure scan, etc?

Also, the dead rise 13 degrees at transom, does that change the specifics of which B175H to buy?

I can send you an email tomorrow if you'd like. Do you think the Simrad rebate will happen again before August? As I said, I hate to buy so early and lose out on 5-6 months of warranty.

Thanks!

Manufactures normally rebates normally during the first part of the year..no one know what they do at the end of the year etc.

And buying now you do not lose any warranty...you actually gain warranty..
Normal warranty is 2 years..with that you lose 6 months yes...
but now..with the rebates ,we also add an additional year of free warranty....for a total of 3 years..so by the time you get your boat you will have 18 months of warranty...still left.
If you buy new then..you have just 2 years.

The time for promotions is Jan thru April...

And since Gil is adding a 3rd year of factory warranty free to the NSS vo3 units..buying now with the rebate and extra year of warranty is a win win.

So if you do not instal till August you still have 18 or 19 months of warranty left.
Nothing lost

Ok, so I need a B175H, but someone today mentioned the B175HW. IS the "W" option a better option for me?

Would a GT51M-TM be ideal for a transom mount transducer for side vu/down vu capabilities? Still not sure on Evo3 or the GPSMAP 8616XSV.......

In trying to educate myself on this as much as possible, I just ran across the CV 20 and GT34UHD-TM combo which looks amazing. 98% of fishing will be in less than 40' of water. IS THIS A BETTER OPTION FOR TRANSOM MOUNT?

If you go with a 8616xsv ,8612xsv /8610xsv...then you can use the LVS12 Live scope transducer...no black box needed.......Excellent for use under 100'.

Thanks Gil! That's certainly some very interesting technology packed into that transducer. As I typically fish out the front of my boat and units will be in the center console, I don't think that's a good fit for me. It would be great for finding bait with someone else on board (one driving, one with cast net), I typically am getting bait alone. I don't think sitting midship, spotting bait, then running up front and getting the net ready to deploy would work for me. However, thanks for sharing!

It might would work in a future set up as a trolling motor mount if I could figure out how to make it "easy on-easy off" as I often take off my trolling motor while the boat sits on the lift.

Can you please have a look at my last post about the Ultra High Def and other transducers and let me know what you think I should go with? I sat with the boat builders yesterday and finalized most things, but told them we were still discussing Transducers.

I'm most likely planning to go ahead and get transducers from you now and get the upper station and lower station units in early August when the boat is ready for them.

Thanks as always for your help!
