Default Garmin Fantom 18"

looking to install the garmin fantom radar 18" on my 2520 parker. any pros and cons? I am just going to use it for navigation in foggy conditions. I really like the motionscope that this radar has. pairing it with a 1242

thanks

For safety hard to beat the Fantom units.

I now use one myself..and the feedback from my customers has been excellent.

Fishing out of Seattle..I get some very bad winter conditions...and the Fantom 18 I now use gives me a great deal of peace of mind.

Got the unit from Gil here and he was very sure to let me knwo the units main atributes was safety and navigation and not for its bird capability.
But in fact I have seen some good bird returns.

The 24 had=s greater distance..but i do non think is a major advantage....as most use for safety and navigation is less than 5 miles....

but the 24 will have better small target detection....or be able to separate two targets that are very close to each other.
