Default Raymarine cp370

This year I installed a CP 370 with a B164 transducer. These are connected to a C 90 W MFD. for some reason I lose bottom reliability after about 700 feet. Is there something I am missing, the specs on the Ray Marine website say maximum depth is 5500. Is there a setting I have wrong? The proper transducer is selected on the menu screen.

5500'.....Raymarine is dreaming...

Even on the best install..at speed the CP370 and B164 is lucky to get 1000' reliably.

Thanks, is there a better transducer for the 370 for the canyons or am I just better served by upgrading the entire system? I make maybe 4 canyon trips a year, but mostly fish in less than 400'. Thanks again

The B260 is better.

Or go with a CHIRP B175M and a CHIRP sounder.
