Default gt51,gt52 transducer

Most of my time spent is in the river or fairly shallow lakes around me. Occasionally I trailer to lake Ontario or the coast. My question is, does the gt or cv52 outperform the 51 in shallower conditions or is it just more cost effective alternative. I'm considering the 93sv or 94sv combo. Offered in the bundle the 94 isn't that much more plus I was considering the lake maps+ charts to utilize the auto guidance feature. I would also like to know if it's still possible to find any of the 1st generation combos which still have the gt transducers instead of the cv transducers.
Any help would be appreciated thanks

Thanks I still have my Lowrance lcx19 lol. To be honest It does the job but i often go to new places and I'm out at night a lot. I'm definitely ready for better mapping of a newer unit for safety. When I'm in tricky water I try to navigate during the day then use my trail to help get me back at night. Ive been trying to get my head around all the new technology to be honest it isn't easy. By the time I think I start to zero in the new stuff it is already moved on. I read a ton of your posts and they have certainly helped me and I'm sure others as well. I'm pretty sure I've narrowed it down to the 94sv. Any chance you could sell me that with older gt51.
Thank you for helping to shed some light on very confusing market by the way.
