New Navionics+ Regions is now available in 5 coverage areas throughout US & Canada . Marine and lake charts are included on the same card, with three layers of content: Nautical Chart and SonarChart™ 1 ft HD bathymetry map are preloaded, while customers can visit navionics.com to download Community Edits and update their charts with daily updates for one year.

Coverage areas:

North: More than 7,400 lakes in Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin, plus all of Lake of the Woods, Rainy Lake and US waters of the region’s Great Lakes.

South: Full marine coverage including Bimini and West End, plus more than 1,400 lakes in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.

East: Full marine coverage and more than 6,500 lakes in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont and West Virginia, plus US waters of the region’s Great Lakes.

West: Full marine coverage including Canadian waters of Puget Sound and more than 2,600 lakes in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

Canada: Full marine coverage and more than 3,400 lakes in Canada and Alaska, plus all of Puget Sound, Lake of the Woods, Rainy Lake and Canadian waters of the Great Lakes.

With the G3 Map card..when it is installed it supersedes the built in maps.
Just like when one uses a Vison card.

And the new G3 is backward compatible with many, many older Garmin units..
