You would only have Side and Down Vu.....you would lose the CHIRP Traditional....to get Traditional then you would have to add a in hull GT15-IH wiht the GT30.
And that would be a good option.

With a GT51 or GT52 one gets Traditional, Side and Down all in one ducer.

IS there a single thru-hull that would display with Side, Down Vue and Chirp?
I got some incorrect info from Garmin it seems.

First day out with the GT52 and it performed AWESOME. Excellent imagery on side, down and traditional. I was able to hold bottom without issue at 30+ kts.

Was marking a ton of bunker today, not many stripers working under them.. however I was able to mark a few NICE arches (which I took with my phone, before I was doing the screenshots on the unit)...

I've attached some photos... I'll take a few more next time I'm out...

Quick question, does anyone know how to get the time to appear on the menu bar display on the bottom (right now it's showing the depth in the left most corner)...

Also, anyway to make the waypoints larger?

Bump

Moose and others...

What settings or setting suggestions do you have for side view

Contrast, brightness, zoom, manual depth, etc..

Application salt 50 ft for example..looking for bait and fish off to the side

Nice screen shots. The sideview learning curve is quite tough for me. I mainly grouper fish in 40ft to 160 ft. I think I just need to ride around where I already know what's on the bottom and my brain will then be wrapped around just what all those lines mean!

Default Noob Question

I have the garmin 7610 xsv with the panoptix on my trolling motor and the gt52 on the back. It was my first time to use it today and the panoptix worked fine but it was like the 52 didn't exist. I went to the home screen and selected the views but it acted as if it wasn't installed. Is there some setting I failed to enable? The transducer can only be hooked up to the orange port on the unit itself. Any ideas to help me get lined out? Thanks.

So far, I can't recommend this package........... I'll keep trying.
I'm in the same boat. I guess I need to call Gil and sit down at my machine for a couple hours. One thing I've noticed is the down view is not bright at all and the side view is. I mainly fish salt water 100-300 feet.

I'll have to try and grab one, I get by just fine with the traditional 200hz setting. I would love to see someone get on my boat and see if I am doing something wrong .... so far "thumbs down" on any side vu / down vu capabilities --- if I could get half the picture that some of these pics show I would be happy
