Thanks Tom. Great stuff as always.
I am currently running an 840 and TM150. Wife gave me a GCV10 for Xmas (no ducer), so I am planning to add the GT30TH and maybe even a 741 as second unit very soon.

At 100' depth you can read out to 300 to 400' plus on each side with the Garmin units.
And we just got in the newly released GT51M transducers...for even greater capability.

Even at speed they do moderately well....39.9 MPH

HERE IS ONE AT 50 MPH..NO REAL DETaiL BUT STILL HOLDING BOTTOM.

Curious - why do you need two GT30TM transducers? I am about to go with the same setup and trying to figure all of this out. Also, what is needed to get the radar overlay?

I sold Tom the pair because he wanted to make certain the engine did not shadow the side scan if he only mounted the single.

It all depends on the transom and engine design..many time a single GT30 is fine..but in some situations a pair is need.
