Default Furuno 620 depth finder

I have a Furuno 620 depth/fish finder mounted in my Whaler. I believe it connected to an Airmar P66 transducer. It appears that the tab that holes the transducer down after its kicked up is broken / missing, thus the transduce kicks up regularly and I lose bottom. Per Airmar, I have to replace the transducer since this can't be repaired.
So the question is do I replace the transducer with the same P66 or is there a better Transducer out there that will work with the Furuno 620?
I typically fish the Chesapeake bay, so rarely look at depths greater than 100 feet. Since rerunning the new transducer can be a real pain, was wondering if I should up grade my depth / fish finder to something newer. Past year or so I haven't been using the boat as much, thus not looking to spend a fortune, but like my Furuno unit, thus would like to stick with Furuno since this unit doesn't require a lot of fussing with to make work perfect.

So what transducer would you recommend , or is there better systems out there with a reasonable cost?

The 620 is 600 watts and a non CHIRP..so the P66 for a transom is about the best choice.

Also.....Look at the Garmin 743xsv or 94xsv with GT23 or a GT56.

Default P66 Transducer

So looked at the replacement units, they seem to include a Chart plotter, but were in the right price range. Since I have a separate Garmin Plotter 4210, which works great, are there better units which are strictly depth /fish finders that you would recommend?
Also do you sell transducers? if so what is the price for a P66 transducer for my furuno unit/

Thanks
