Thanks. I need a thru hull. Do you not sell Airmar stuff?
I think I will wait for the 12".
Do I need the GT52hw for Sideview? A transom mount won't work on my boat except when at troll speed ot idle.

So, is the Clearvu only available with the transom mount garmin transducer? Is it possible to have a 1kw thru hull and the transom mount Garmin?
I currently have a 4212 with gsd 24 and a B60. I was going to add the 1242 as a 2nd unit but was wanting to upgrade to a 1kw transducer for better returns at cruise.

There are no Clear vu only transducers..for transom or thru hull.
the options are clear and side,..such as the GT30
clear and Traditional CIRP..such as the GT23
and clear Side and Traditional CHIRP...such as the Gt52HW,GT52, GT56... etc.

The GT30 is Clear vu (down scan) and side scan....that is in a Transom or a thu hull.

If you want to fire dual transducers you need a 86xxx unit..it has dual ducer ports/capability.

the 943xsv,1042xsv,1242xsv 1243xsv have only a single transducer port...
But you can add a GSD 25 fro side scan/down scan.

Sorry for all the questions, it's a little confusing. Can I just keep running my B60 thru my gsd 24 attached to my 4212 and then run a new GT52HW on a new 1242xsv?
Would there be interference problems? Could both mfd's be hooked to the nmea backbone?

You can run both ducers with no issues.

You might be able to share way points via the NMEA 2000 with the two units.....but that is all.
And I have seen issues in doing so between the older and newer units.

Whats the total to add the GT52hw?
And is that the best ducer for saltwater less than 200ft depth?
Lastly, does the 1242 come with flush mount adapter?
