Default GT-51TM Placement on Prokat

Hi

i have this prokat and looking for advice on where to install a gt51m-tm. I've searched and many people have issues getting it to read with speeds above 8-10MPH, would love a professional opinion or advice. Thanks again!

Are you referring to the side scan or the traditional?

I'm referring to the clearvu/side scan feature im looking to get from the new GT-51 transom mount transducer. Just trying to figure out what my best placement option would be, thanks!

A side scan on that hull is not easy...normally one wants to be at the lowest point of the hull...as you need to shoot past the trim tabs and engine.

Hi, on a side note, how do you like your prokat? I am looking at a used 2007 2660 and getting a lot of mixed reviews , so I wanted to ask someone who actually has one. Don't mean to hijack your thread, but was curious how you feel about it. If you prefer, you can PM me as well. Appreciate any info in advance.

Honestly I tested a few different cats and I loved the way the prokat rides and the layout. As long as you take time to clean up the wiring, seal a few things, replace plastic through hulls, and tighten down some screws, you should have no problem with it. My 2660 feels on par space wise as many 30+ footers.
