Default Simrad Evo3 Transducer question

I want to run 2 transducers to my NSS12 Evo3. 2 questions:

1. My current fishfinder is a Furuno FCV620 running an in-hull P79 50/200. Is there an adapter to run the P79 to the Evo3? I believe the PIN count does not match.
2. I'd like to add a transom mount and am having trouble deciding between the AI 3-1 or going with a TM185M or up to a TM265 or TM275

I do most of my fishing in the lower Chesapeake Bay and out to around 100ft. a mixture of trolling and bottom fishing. I'd like to do more deep water bottom fishing 400'-1200' and offshore trolling.

Hi,

No direct adapter for the P79 to the Simrad unit....you would have to hard wire a 9N pig tail...

For going past 400' then you are in the 1 kw transducer range...TM185M.

You get a 7 to 9n adapter ...cut off the 7 pin and solder ..you also need to look up the wiring codes.

You would be better off just installing a new P79 with the 9N already on it...$125.
