Default Transducer Options

I had two transducers ( GT51 & GT50) installed on my '19 25' Nautic Star 2602 Legacy. They are connected to twin 1242 xsv Touch units The photos are not from my boat but install location is the same. Why two? Because I had the same set up on my previous TW 25' and everything was fine. GT 50 for in Bay / 51 deeper and rougher water.

First issue is that both units lose bottom and start bouncing at about 15mph. Along with that problem I find a great deal of salt on the cowlings when I get back to the dock. This leads me to believe it is the location causing the problem.

I'm thinking of pulling both units and placing th 51 between engines or going with GT51m-th.

Your thoughts?

.

Gt51 between the engines would be my choice.

Thanks for the advice. I'll give it a shot. If NG I'll be back to you for the thru hull. Here's a picture of the location used on a sister ship by NS owner in my group. OK to you ?
