I use my VHF frequently but have not used DSC for ship to ship. The interface is painful to use but wondered if others were using it. Saw a great product the other day that integrates AIS with VHF....

I cut out carboard insert until it fit perfectly. Then used it as a template to cut starboard leaving a little bit of margin to sand off.
