Seriously though, Tar Baby, come on.

I gotta go pass...

Re: 61' sunk at Perdido Pass last night

Oh no, you had to mention politics. Na sorry, I'm a Republican.

One thing that's good, the rich guy will sink another couple mill. into the boat building industry, maybe save a few jobs. '61...

Re: 61' sunk at Perdido Pass last night

Sure, I may be classless to laugh at the misforture of others. If it was a "normal" person who wrecked their boat, I would genuinely feel sorry for them, of course.

But come on, a boat like that ?...

Re: 61' sunk at Perdido Pass last night

What's with defending the rich guy ?

I just thought the pictures were cool, glad nobody was hurt, and don't feel sorry for the rich guy, what wrong with that.

Currently boatless but looking,...

RE: 61' sunk at Perdido Pass last night

Settle down, the rich guy broke his toy and the kid in me makes want to laugh.

Who cares about the rich guy, he'll buy another one.

Just thank god no one was killed.

No, I'm not a big...

RE: 61' sunk at Perdido Pass last night

I'm just pissed I'll never have a boat like that. I bet some other people were thinking that though. Besides, talk about class, he names his boat tar baby ? Gimme a break.

RE: 61' sunk at Perdido Pass last night

Cool picture to look at, like looking at a train wreck. Sucks to see such a fine piece of craftmanship destroyed, but something makes me just want to laugh at the rich guy who owns it.

Stupid...

Re: BRUNSWICK WOES

Actually, I think Brunswick is doing a decent job if they actually made a profit in a boat market like this. It was probably smart to buy Cabo, Hatteras and Albemarle, people with that kind of money...

RE: 1988 grady repower

If I had a choice I would power with 200's but the 150's are fine. Remember that the older Sailfish ( Same as my old Trophy Pro ) has about 14 degree deadrise so it's easier to push it. It gets on...

RE: 1988 grady repower

In a past life I repowed a 25' GW Trophy Pro with 150 hp Optimaxs. It cruised at 27-28 knots and topped out at about 34 knots. I think it would do fine as long as it is propped right and have a clean...

Re: The new Regulator Pics

Eurotransome, bracket, same difference, I think a high end boat builder needs to build a big express that is more fishable. With that bracket , it looks like it sticks out almost 8 feet, that'll be a...

Re: The new Regulator Pics

I think it would be a great boat if they designed it where the engines were tucked in as tight as possible to the stern, maybe with the fold down transome gate, so when you are fighting a big fish...

Re: The new Regulator Pics

I suppose diesels would be nice but that's a whole different animal. They would have to do major tank testing if they were going to stick diesels in there. Diesels are louder, slower, more/harder to...

RE: The new Regulator Pics

Don't get me wrong, it looks awesome.

But seriously, when is someone going to make a big express that has a transome like the Grady 265. ( that they don't make anymore )

That bracket is a...

Re: Express boat recs

I always liked the Viking 43 Express. I think you can get a used one for high 300's, might have to sink money into the engines for an overhaul or repower ( 80k to 150k?)
but it's easily twice the...

RE: new verado perf #'s

Those numbers are impressive.

Glad to see a company responding to customers needs.

What about mid-range torque ? Cruising at say 4500 rpm in a following sea, when coming off a wave and climbing...

RE: Yamaha 200 Hp HPDI Outboard Motor

I would add that you have to use Yamalube and Ring Free, also change filters and it will last forever.
