You have to check with garmin on that,I am not sure the 162 has an updatable antenna.The only 1 I know is the 2006 and 2010 with the GPS17N.

Izor line is very well regarded out here on the west coast.Most of the boats I fish tuna with use Izor in 40 and 50 pound,the Sad Diego long range boats also use it!
