yes the splash well/ battery compartment cover. leaks non-stop. probably not a problem on a 25 mako because the boat may sit higher and water is not constantly covering the bottom lip of the cover.

cool, a hint of water in the gear grease will not hurt it. but should be taken care of immediately. the grease will coat and protect internal parts.

Looks like $2,699.00 is list for the unit, which includes the G3 Mapping, but don't beleive it includes the transducer.

Amazon has it for $2,499.00, but you might be better off buying the unit...
