Yeah I got one of their AAL-22-24 trailers under my '02 240 BayScout. Apparently a very big mistake!

The drum brakes were shot after less than 3,000 miles and only a few dips in salt. They were...

Depth / Fish finder - which one is the very best?

Thought I might chime in here:

I have a Garmin 240 and and a Lowrabce LX16CI.

For a really good depth finder, the Garmin 240 unit is not a "top of the line" fish finder. The Lowrance color...

Usually, I disconnect and stow these "connected" instruments after a trip out.

My usual boat washdown...

Culmination of Bay Boat Research

Give yourself another couple of weeks. Take a ride and drive at least three of the four you had listed.

You've done your "show room" homework. Now you need to put hull to water for yourself....

Warm hub and bearing in cooler water = internal contraction of gasses and all = water ingression via pressure equalization forces.

Battery problem

I don't know what your set-up or fishing times are, but it sounds like you might be discharging your battries too much by using too much power for too long.

Most deep-cycle batteries don't like to...
