Run 2 group 24 deep cycle batteries. Interstate/Costco wet cell batteries lasted me 9 years. They were still cranking well when it seemed prudent to buy new ones.
They start my DF300ap without issue.

My '98 251 WA, I purchased new. Started as an I/O. 3800 hours and 2 engines and 2 outdrives later, I hung a bracket. 750 hours on a Suzuki Df300 now....

Remove the fuel filter canister and pour contents into a plastic bag. Look for water or visible contamination.
Screw on clean filter and run.
If problems persist, hook up fresh fuel source and run....
