When you say 9 miles off shore are you talking about say east banks? Because Iím all about just catching anything that bites, I just donít know any good spots that close that actually hold fish.

does anybody know how far out the clean water is in Galveston or Freeport. Iím planning a trip the 26-28 of July and plan on trolling around weedlines for King and some dolphin if the water is clean....

Depends

It depends for me, strong currents and Iíll anchor up and let my bait drift down current. No current and Iíll drift over and jig. I use squid, works like a charm
