Thanks for the prompt responses.

I checked the new switch with a meter and it appears to work OK. Though I may return it and try another. I've got the correct voltage in all the right places...

IMO your best bet might be a mooring at Oak Bluff. I think it's $30/night. Getting a transient slip before Labor Day is very difficult. Contact Oak Bluff Marina.....good luck!
