If the transom mount will work for you the sonar is the same, and much easier to upgrade later on.

You can share sonar via wifi to a 74SV Plus or 94SV plus. Maybe more units but those are the 2 I know offhand. NMEA will share waypoints created when both units are on, nmea doesn't share sonar.
