Hoping Tabman sees this since he's got the expertise.

Just came in from tubing on new to me 23 Striper CC. Flushing the engine and son says, "Dad, you lost a trim tab." Yeah right. Sho...

Thanks Hydradude. That's an interesting alternative.

I have to call Glacier Bay and see what material is sitting inside that section of the hull.

Funny. I'm having this same conversation with my wife this morning. Bought a 23' Seaswirl CC. Difference between you and me is that I'm 90 miles away from the boat when I'm not using it.

Decided...

RE: 1969 bertram 20 bahia mar

Owned one for 10 years. I tell ya, if that's not a Bert, it's a great imitation. The helm and deck looks exactly like mine. Repowered it with the 205hp 4.3l. It would top at about 42mph.

Re: 2004 Glacier Bay 2640

Great boat. My father-in-law has one and we routinely fish 5-6 without any issues. One of the softest rides you'll find. Ours has a soft top. I wish I had seen this one first. I would have told him...

Re: Loud banging sound when running, any ideas????????

Re: new ignorant boat buyer needs advice

You can always hit boats.com, plug in some parameters and see what pops up. I'd run a search at and under $25k for some negotiation room. I did a quick search for you and found an '04 20' Proline...

Second, if you're worried about the G's performance on regular, then none of the...
