23 hydrasportw/a or 225aquasport explorer?

I have a 94 model explorer. It is a wet boat due to spray and will pound in anything over 2 ft's. Where I'm at anything over that means heading out in head seas and riding following seas back in. So...

Used to be, tuna caught for sport off Louisiana were dumped in the ship channel to rot in the sun. No one woukd think about eating them back then.

How many of you have actually eaten sailfish...

A fuel tank question for the experts.....

If you can find one that fits, by all means get rid of the aluminum.

Where do you keep your boat?

I keep mine in dry storage (not racked) about a mile from county boat launch in ship channel. This saves time, fuel, wear & tear, and keeps boat out of sun.

There are other issues as well as those detailed above. Polyester is normally used in primary bond (the first layup and cure cycle) and epoxy is normaly used in a post bond situation because it...

Since you asked... Pri-G is supposed to perk up old gasoline to like new freshness. It also prevents gas from going bad, prevents carbon fouling, and a host of other wonders. It can be found at West...

All good advise above. In addition, I would add some PRI-G to the fuel if you're gonna run it through - it should perk up the low rpm running.

Standard Horizon Intrepid plus

Standard might phase out the non MariTel ready units as time goes by, but that doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with them.

I expect discounted prices on the vhf's without the MariTel...

Standard Horizon Intrepid plus

The Intrepid Plus is MariTel ready. The others are not. There is also a Spectrum Plus that is MariTel ready. I'm not sure if MariTel has these vhf's on their website yet, but you can look around...

Radar is using electro magnetic radiation (EMR) -the same stuff that visible light is made of, but at a different frequency. It's propagation speed is the same as light, about 186,000 miles per...

Furuno 1622 radar messing up sat fix on Garmin 2006???????

By the way, if it's not too much of a problem you could move your gps antennae out of the radar transmission and see if the radar still interferes with gps. Or, you might construct a temporary shield...

I have a 23 ft WA bought used. It had Bennett tabs and a fin on the single 225 OB when I bought it. Curious to me, the former owner said he put the fin on just lately. I have run it both with and...

Color GPS or larger Screen?????

To strictly answer the question, I'd take the larger screen myself - if I had to choose. But I don't really believe in having to choose.

Why did I say big screen? The eyes are getting stiff. I...

The sentiment that we should do nothing reminds me of something I heard long ago:

The days of more additives in premium is long gone. All of the majors (oil companies) have the same package in all grades. I can't say what the bargain no-name retail supplier is doing.

I was fortunate enuff to have a spare power pak when my 225 oceanrunner started acting up. Swapped it out and "voila" it runs like a top. If you don't have a spare, well - they're good to have handy.

Sounds similar to a power pack going out - if you have some indication that the lower unit is the problem...I just can't imagine how that causes a firing miss.

Standard Horizon GPS/Chartplotter

I think the answer lies in the horsepower requirement to get a really deep V hull going. Twin 200 or 250's is normal for a 25 ft CC when you are talking Contenders and such. You need a good strong...
