Insurance only reimburses most of the time, so you could be out a LOT of money waiting for reimbursement. Been there, done that. Fortunitely my bill was small and Stated Farm was fast.

Have had I/O and outboards over the years. Seems like I needed to buy gimbal bearings by the case lot with the I/O boats. They weren't available in stainless and corroded quickly and got noisy....
