Re: Question on Garmin 4208 built in G2 maps

Just watched Tom's video clip - you should see the Mariner's Eye view around here. Like I said, there is a lot of shallow water, and when you are heading towards shallow water the color on the...

Re: Question on Garmin 4208 built in G2 maps

One thing to keep in mind about using the Auto Guidance feature - it will not work if you are navigating to or from water that is already shallower than the minimum depth you set when you configure...

Re: 36% Cap on Credit Card Interest - Starting A Bank

Why pay cash when you can get free stuff by using a credit card? My rewards points get me free hotel stays, rental cars, and flights, and don't cost me a cent because I pay my balance every month...

Re: Barrett Jackson Auction

I've been a Corvette fan all my life, but 2 cars I'd like to try some day are the '69 Mustang Boss 302 and the '69 Camaro Z/28 DZ302. They were a lot cheaper 30 years ago!

Re: Question on Garmin 4208 built in G2 maps

The pre-loaded maps on the 4208 are G2 (second generation) Blue Charts. The Vision chip is what adds the aerial Google Earth displays, the Mariner's Eye View, the Fish Eye View, photos, and the...

Re: West Marine VHF650 Any good?

I like the WM 650 because of the screen size, the number of characters (detail) displayed on the menu screens, ease of programming, and the scrolling channel descriptions on the botom of the screen...

Re: New electronics for the boat

I think the 5212 is an AWESOME display. Great resolution, bright screen, and the Blue Charts come loaded. If you are concerned about the touch screen, there is a remote control you can get for...

Re: Nissan drops auto shows

Smart move for them. What have they had to reveal since they brought back the Z car? Same old line up every year.

Re: Attention Garmin Owner's of the 400/500/4000/5000 series CP's

I'm just asking a simple question - YOU'RE making the big deal out of it. I don't feel like driving all the way up to Pine Ridge Road if I don't have to.

Re: Attention Garmin Owner's of the 400/500/4000/5000 series CP's

Buying from another source IS the trouble. If I can find the Garmin part number my company can get it from them at no cost to me. If I buy from another company, I have to pay full retail. Long...

Re: Attention Garmin Owner's of the 400/500/4000/5000 series CP's

Does Garmin sell an SD card reader? I did a search and found their data card reader, but no SD. If so, can you post their part number?

Re: hand held gps

The GPS76 referred to above will do that nicely in black and white. If you don't need the base maps you could even get away with the GPS72 for about $70 less.

Re: hand held gps

What is your main system and do you want Blue Chart data or not? If you're backing up an E120, you may find the Colorado better than your main system. What is your budget?

Re: Garmin Colorado 400C

I've played with one and thought it was leaps and bounds better than the 76 series, even if it is $600.
