If the boat is "pitching" against the bow stop, then I don't see how the bow eye can be tight to the trailer roller.
I suppose the V blocks have merit for your rig.

There is also a "LOW" alarm, that is only visible...

In the low HP world: A 2 str merc is a better motor than a 2 str yamaha. Less corrosion, less fuel consumption, better shifter location. Less weight.
I'm not sure about the 4strokes.
