I am not fond of Mary Kate. It's so strong, that it causes your brightwork to bleed rust. Make sure you keep it off brightwork and on fiberglass suggest you wipe it off really quickly.

Yes it drains into the bilge. there may be a hose routing the water to the back. just take your water hose and jet some water into the drain plug. that should clear out any clogs

I've done a pool with pebble-tec and don't like the bumpy surface, so I would like to stick with Diamond Brite contractors.
