Re: Outborad Bracket or Notched Transom

I've been running a 1983 Sou'Wester (Parker) 23 foot center console with a notch transom in any marginally fishable slop you can imagine out to 30 miles for 10 years. I think I got a splash or 2...

Re: Boat builder files for chapter 7 - what a shame

Ridiculous statement. Care to guess what you may or may not "be able to afford" in 20 years? How about the one year odds of being alive? Check the following link: ...

Yes. I fish on one (a Buxton) owned by a friend. Solid and serviceable. Runs nice but not fast. Pretty shallow draft for IB. Was a former fire co. rescue boat on DE Bay.

RE: Stupid questions from newbies about general types of boat hulls

Re: yamaha "new" tilt support

No, the wood hasn't jumped out while trailering and it takes the stress off the engine and trim components. If your transom can't handle the road bumps you have bigger issues. The torque exerted...

Re: yamaha "new" tilt support

I use a chunk of 2x6 between the transom mount and engine tabbs that provide the hard stop when you trim all the way down. The wood prevents metal to metal contact and a bit of cushion and enough...

Re: Cleaning mold/mildew in bilge??

Use diluted clorox. It won't hurt anyone or anything and it kills the stuff, doesn't just remove the evidence. In the future suggest that you leave some hatches open while in the storage builfding.

Re: outriggers where to mount ..ttop or gunnel
