Not if you have sufficient power for the hull. My boat has 500 ponies which is max for the hull and she powers through the backs of waves ....no lugging at all

yes but 10 knots at 4K rpm seems to be faster than what you would get with a spun hub. I have only experienced (spun hub) a few times and 6-7 knots was the most we could get. Just my experience
