Re: Trouble with Raymarine DSM300 E series

Had the same problem when mine was about a year old. Mailed it back to RM as it was under warranty. Got it back in about two weeks worked fine since then. Bit of a hassle but it was worth it.

Re: C-80 question

A cheaper alternative is to install just the heading sensor, fluxgate compass, as opposed to the complete auto pilot setup. I have the C-80 with the 2KW radome and ST40 fluxgate. Overlay is very...

Re: Check your boat plugs

Hole or no hole you will still have water, especially in an alumunim boat and especially in Oregan where you have high huminity, (water in metal fuel tanks ring a bell?). Condensation alone will...

Actually, my trailer is galvanized steel. I got the paint to touch up a few weak areas in the galvanizing. I was asking about aluminum as I just had to repair the skeg on the...

Re: Yamaha skeg damage

Thanks for the response guys.

Did take the prop off to clean it up and re-lube it. Not sure what I was thinking but the lower case is much more beefy than I imagined. Have 300 hours on the boat in...

Yamaha skeg damage

Pulled a boner and left my '06 150 4 stroke in the down position backing into my driveway.

Obvious damge is a small 1/2 chunk out of the tip and an 1/8 in shaved off of the skeg.

Anyone have...

Re: Raymarine C-80 losing my numbers

The older software had a bug with numbers. Any waypoint that began with a number would cause the system to drop waypaoints. The latest version is 4.29 which fixed tha problem.

Re: Raymarine CP/Radar Overlay/Heading Sensor??

Have the C-80 with radar. Operated several weeks prior to installing an ST-40 fluxgate and found that the radar could be off as much as 180 without it after you stop the boat for a while. What I...

Re: starboard engine has BULLET HOLES!

My son owns a .50 cal rifle that we shoot often at steel targets. The hole it makes is still very close to the same size as the bullit. On the soft cowling of that engine the bigger ones are probably...

Re: NEMA output to Command Link Gauges??

Not too sure about the warranty issues but I received an email from Raymarine customer service on the issue of command link intigration and use of the pigtail bus. They suggested I first check Yamaha...

Re: Fuel Burn Figures For Parker 2120

I'm also surprised that you didnt get much from the CP site, those guys are very knowledgable and are usually right on top of these things.

I have an '06 2120 with the F150 4s so Im not sure my...

Re: Yamaha Command Link and NMEA questions (long)

I havent done so but have been considering gettiing my engine data to a c-80 display via my command link guages. Yamaha sent me part numbers for an nmea2k cable that is supposed to do the trick. That...

Re: Clear bowl Racor in a fire: the results

Very interesting test.

Actually if the bowl contained fuel it would be much worse. Water vapor and fuel vapors react in a very differant manner with the only common property being that they are...

Re: Clean title - but stolen hull?

Motor vehicles have a "police vin" in at least two locations that is practically impossible to obtain and changes routinely. I am assuming that is what is meant by a second HIN. I've searched those...

Re: Parker riding very bow high with 4 Strokes. Solutions?

Have to agree with capt_matt, that hull motor combo has been around a while. Something else is going on. I own the Parker 2120 which is a lttle butt heavy but easily corrected with a permatrim tab on...

RE: Sopt Lights ?

As an adjunct to but not in place of. Radar is nice but a good spotlight is dandy in close. Nothing wrong with having both.

Re: Digital gauges

Depends on what you mean by "digital" A standard fuel gauge with a simple digital read out is cheap. A full blown fuel management gauge is going to be in the $500.00+ ramge. Yamaha does come with a...

Re: New Parker Pricing.

Your correct. Tommyr, I reread it. He repeated it so it got me confused. His 'checkbook in the back pocket story' was a lttle differant back then.

Re: New Parker Pricing.

Read a couple of posts about Parker being unresponsive. I own a 2006 2120 SC with around 300 hours on it and have to say Parker has been exceptional. I e-mailed Robin when I installed a fluxgate...

Re: New Parker Pricing.

Just a couple of questions for Dave out of curiosity. What kind of boat do you own? Have you ever been aboard a Parker or a Stieger on the water?

Re: GPS coordinate format

In looking at the CG Notice to Mariners and other CG related information both printed and on their web site they use degrees minutes and decimal minutes. (DD MM.MMMM)
