My buddy on Little Torch has that exact same boat, he has a single Yamaha 250 4.2 liter mechanical. He pretty much only fishes the reef and out back in the bay and near gulf.

He cruises 25 to 30...

"Cruise" at 40 to 45 would be a pretty fast cruise speed, unless conditions were perfect. Realistic cruise is low 30's to 40 or so.
