Re: TWIC card

It is not mandatory and you will not lose your lisc. However, you will not be able to RENEW your lisc without it.

Re: Block and tackle setup?

You will have to have strong backing plates and a reinforced Ttop for this...

I run a rope from the opposite side mid-cleat, up across all the Ttop rails (four of them in my case), then attach...

Re: RIDDICK BAYRUNNER

Boat sales AND the service side was way off. He could have made it on just service alone if the service part hadn't dropped off so badly too. People just aren't boating as much as they were. And...

Re: RIDDICK BAYRUNNER

Randy isn't gone. But the business location has shut down. Randy has gone mobile. He bought a big trailer and will come to your boat now. It's a sign of the times. Paying a lease on a building...

Re: Jarrett Bay 32

Actually was asking for other boats to compare this JB 32 with. What other brands/models to consider?

Re: Brunswick leadership leaving

He most surely is/was a part of the Brunnswick leadership, and I think the title of the post is just fine. It certainly is not a 'garbage' post and the title in no way compromises the post. Berber,...

Re: Furuno vs. Garmin

It isn't going to hit any trailer if it's mounted INSIDE the hull!

Re: JRC 1500

Yep. Have had it awhile now. It's done all I needed it to do. Did have to send it back to JRC once. A backlight bulb burnt out. Other than that, it's been 100% and I've been very happy with it. ...

Re: Hooking up KVH 1000 to Garmin 4208 Radar

Do you have to have a heading sensor in order to display radar overlay with the Garmin 4000 series?

Re: Furuno vs. Garmin

What would be the problem with a shoot thru transducer? Assuming there is a bilge to put it in, just mount it in the bilge. You don't need a hole in the boat at all. I have a positive flotation,...

Re: Furuno vs. Garmin

As to 'real time' weather, there is none. At least not with XM. And I don't think with Sirius either. They have a small delay. But it's just minutes, not a very significant factor.

My vote...

Re: Jarrett Bay 32

Junior, OK.

Amitchum, that 30 Express looks nice. So I guess that says alot if you're choosing the J Bay over the 30 Express.

JK, I don't believe they're making the 34 Davis any longer.

Re: Boat trailer legislation update

Also, anyone that lives in the Triangle area that's familiar with all the trailering issues going on that would be willing to talk to the News/Observer on it? They want someone local up there.
