Just a thought, but why not jump on EBAY and buy a 2'x4' slab of starboard and use a jigsaw to cut it like you like? There are several 1/4" thick chunks that size for under $50 after shipping.

Thanks, I hate to sell it really but I need a smaller center console. You're right about the cockpit, you could fit the Green Bay Packers defensive unit in there and still have room for a dolphin...
