Re: Man Overboard Process?

This is a pretty obscure tip, but I heard it once from an old Coastie and, then another one so, I believe it. In situations where power is a must, keep the MOB on the port side. The logic is two...

Re: My tax dollars working for me

Please tell me they're not putting that tree back up. We had multitudes of those ficus tree go down in Coral Gables and they were all cut up into tiny pieces to be replaced by oak trees. That is...

Re: Coating a bronze thru hull with urethane

Is the bracket SS by any chance? If it is, that solves your problem.

Re: 120v AC/12v DC 20 Amp Relay

Actually you need a 12 volt power supply. It uses a transformer to convert AC current to DC current. Figure out what the draw is on the fridge and then you can size the power suppy. I'll warn you,...

Re: Removable VHF antenna's

Anytime you add a connector to an RF circuit, it detracts from the performance. Anytime you disrupt an RF connector you increase the chances that it won't go back together again. This includes so...

Re: Radio Checks

Five by five measures signal quality and audio quality on a scale of one to five. Five by five means your signal strength was a five and your audio quality was a five. If your signal was fully...

Re: Post Pics of rolled and tiped paint jobs

Can you color sand Awlgrip? I know you can with Imron. What about these epoxy based paints? I've seen boats that I think were rolled and tipped and frankly the finish looked like mild non-skid.

Re: Where'd all the hood ornaments go?

Modern classics are a great springboard into the old car hobby. You learn how to fix the cars with models you can still easily get parts for. Or, you find out fussing with a tempramental old car...

Re: Where'd all the hood ornaments go?

Everytime I see truck 'nads, I want to neuter the truck. I don't have little ones, but that's got to be the most tasteless thing I've ever seen.

Mojo,
I hear you on the offbeat. That's cool...

Re: New Sailfish

Simrad has the best bang for the buck on combination displays. You can get radar added to your chart plotter/depth sounder for much less than everyone else's offerings from what I've seen. I can't...

Mojo,
She goes out pretty much every Saturday or, Sunday, depending on my schedule. Like a boat, not running it will lead to problems. The wheel color is called sour apple and is a correct color. ...

RE: Where'd all the hood ornaments go?

This is my new toy, it has a Motometer, which isn't too fancy as for hood ornaments, but I think it qualifies. It's a 1930 Ford Model A Tudor. I can elaborate, if asked, but I don't want to veer to...

Re: Costa Del Mar Warranty Nonsense

Re: The Floridian

My biggest objection to him, and any other team owner, is when they want public money to subsidize their business. Yes every other team does sell the naming rights to their stadium, that doesn't...

Re: The Floridian

Wayne Huizinga, what a moron. I hope the thing springs a leak. Just so everyone understands why I don't like him; he did a few things that were not very model Floridian. First he renamed Joe...

Re: Fountain Stringers, parts not laminated.....

If memory serves me correctly your Grady's stringers are coated in epoxy, which is a much better water barrier than paint or gelcoat.

Re: Jobs in SE Florida

The worst part about SoFla is paying too much for everything and not getting paid accordingly. Remember for three years running Miami is the poorest big city. This is significant because even if...
