Not that you havent already had a bunch of suggestions, but gaffers tape, the kind used by roadies at concerts is what I use for the same think. Doesnt leave a residue and lasts a long time

Most docks use galvanized, 2 hole cleats. Way cheaper than stainless and you will get many years of service from them. Go with 10" so they can handle larger lines if they ever need to.

If you are using an umbrella in a rod holder be sure to tie it down tight to the rod holder itself. When the boat rocks to the side the thing can go flying and that could be very bad....
