It's a cutter, ceramic and concrete are a lot harder than gelcoat. Even if it's a polish level grit, it still cuts. Try it on a piece of shiny billet aluminum and see if it scores when it rubs.

I run a 50 honda on my sailboat for a kicker. I really like the motor. It's had 7 years of saltwater use. The only thing I ever change are the plugs and the impeller.

Very fuel efficient motor....

I assume your other cover wasn't black. i use black sunbrella on my sail shrouds and on my bimini. It prevents mildew on my sails and center console or anything else I've covered.

Naples is 90 miles from key west with nothing but 10k islands in between and minimal patrols. Miami is a 150+ with lots of patrols on that side. We've had more people put ashore here in the last year...
