If your buying used, stay away from from pre 2018 diesels. For gas find a used chevy 6.0 and it will do everything you want, and they last a long time.

For new I would find one with the 6.2.

Only thing I can add is 3 guys in a 17 might be a little tight. If u can get an 18 or 19 even better. But the 17 will work. No reason u can get out on the nice days for trolling...
