I'm fairly sure that glue/epoxy is used to hold these on to the hull...not mechanical fasteners. You can simply prep the gel coat with fine sandpaper or a fine steel wool pad. The 'savers' have holes...

I have a S&W 9mm Shield in a Sticky. Put it anywhere you like...it's staying there. If you don't carry IWB very often, but want the option at a moments notice, a Sticky is the way to go.
