As mentioned above, sounds like you "need" two boats. I will suggest that whatever boat you get for the great lakes have a hardtop. Trust me.

I tow just under 12k with an F350 PSD, single rear wheel. I only tow a few time per year. If you're towing it regularaly, a dual rear wheel truck will provide more stability and peace of mind.
