I have several benchmade autos and the springs always break. The spring is the weakest part of the knife. Knifekits.com has a superior replacement spring available that are higher torque also.

1500-2000 miles per month here too. Mazda3 commuter and gas 2500. If a diesel truck ain’t making me money, it’s costing me. Easy choice to go gas for towing and then get 35-40 mpg all week long!
