I agree with the above. My Whaler vent was clogged and when I would fill up the gas would come up from the fuel fill. I needed to replace the fill line and vent lines. Problem solved.

I had the same problem with my Whaler. My mechanic checked the vent and it was fine. He found my fuel fill line had some de lamination in it so he replaced it. Problem solved.at least in my case.
