Do you have a # for yamaha for this? I should call to see if mine were ever done. Although, I'd expect 2004 engines with now over 2100 hours to have had a problem if there was going to be one.

I've ruled out battery cables, batteries, etc. I'm not super familiar with a starter, what did you actually spray with CRC and wiggle? Did you have to remove the starter...

May try this. I'm not 100% certain of it being a starter motor. The fact that it starts on the first try every time has me perplexed, it just seems like its dragging/sluggish.

Yes - Did this ever get fixed? Having the same concern. It always starts, but just seems super sluggish, even with fresh brand new batteries, and clean tight connections.
